AI4Diag

Where Medical Diagnostics meets Artificial Intelligence

AI4Diag aims at contributing to making Europe the world leader in disease prevention and prediction by enabling the combination and convergence of diagnostic technologies with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Indeed the strengthening of a competitive life sciences industry in Europe is directly linked to the integration of cutting edge technologies such as bioinformatics, omics, image processing, data management and analysis.

The project aims at stimulating the adoption by diagnostics companies of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in order to strengthen their competitiveness in a changing and “digitalising” diagnostic market and offer high added value services for patients and clinicians.

As a joint Regional-Cluster-Industry Project created within the S3 Medtech Platform, AI4Diag will involve all of the local diagnostics and AI actors with the objectives to:

  • Open up new opportunities for SMEs (also in less developed regions) and help them develop new innovative prediction/ detection services with AI.
  • Enable technological centres to initiate new collaborations in Europe.
  • Enable business organisations to increase skills in companies’ support on that topic.
  • Improve the cluster-specific framework conditions in the partners’ regions.
  • Enable regions to co-invest in the context of this S3.

The project partners are 5 life sciences clusters from: France (SUD Provence-Alpes-Côted’Azur and Occitanie), Belgium (Flanders), Spain (Aragon), Italy (Tuscany) and Estonia.

During the AI4Diag project, the partnership will develop different acceleration activities for SMEs such as workshops with experts, training sessions, partnering meetings, matchmaking events and an individual acceleration programme for one company selected per cluster.
