European Biotech Week

The European Biotech Week celebrates biotechnology, an innovative and vibrant sector launched by the discovery of the DNA molecule back in 1953. The first European Biotech Week that took place in 2013 marked the 60th anniversary of this pivotal moment in history.

European Biotech Week is an annual celebration of biotechnology through events and public outreach activities taking place across Europe. In 2018, the 6th edition featured 135 events and activities involving thousands participants in 18 European countries. This year, the initiative will also be part of the Global Biotech Week, a success story celebrated across continents all over the world.

This is an open and inclusive initiative which is entirely free of charge and not driven by any commercial interest. Participating organisers will receive European Biotech Week gadgets at their preferred location ahead of their events/activities.
