Following the event's hugely successful launch in Boston, USA, Human Biotech & Animal Health Business Partnering Summit is now coming to Europe.
Traditionally, innovation in veterinary health has come from parent human pharmaceutical R&D pipelines. Within an increasingly independent and mature animal health industry, new routes to innovation are being established. There are a multitude of exceptional technologies in the human health field that could be used in animal health, but currently there is limited contact between the two areas – this summit aims to connect the two industries.
The ‘Human Biotech & Animal Health Business Partnering Summit’ is coming to Amsterdam this June to explore how human biotechs can maximize the therapeutic and commercial potential of their technologies, while serving unmet medical needs in veterinary health. The event connects innovative biotechnology from human medicine with veterinary expertise to accelerate R&D in animal health, and to promote a global and holistic approach to healthcare.
The inaugural Boston event in March hosted 80+ industry Executives, CEOs, CBOs, R&D Directors, Senior Scientists, Academics and Biotech Start-ups for one day – over 200 one-to-one business meetings were had on-site. Attendees learnt how to manage the risk of collaborations, how they could use stalled or ‘failed’ products to create revenue, and how to maximise their existing IP assets, among other topics.
