The BioBusiness Summer School was set up in 2008 as an initiative of the Academic Medical Center Amsterdam. It was set up in close collaboration with several Life Sciences research institutes and companies in The Netherlands. Since 2011 BioBusiness Summer School has been organised by Hyphen Projects.

Hyphen Projects is a specialized project office that initiates, develops and organizes career fairs, network events, websites and other formats for the Life Sciences and related sectors. Our projects, originating from our own initiative but also in collaboration with other parties or at the request of clients, aim at bringing professionals and organizations within the Life sciences field together. We specifically strive to connect science to business.

Founded in 2004, Hyphen Projects has built an extensive track record in developing and organizing sector-specific exhibitions, conferences and related projects. For instance, Hyphen Projects is initiator and organizer of the biggest Life Sciences career fair in Europe: BCF Career Event, organised since 2005 in The Netherlands and since 2016 in Belgium. Other projects that have succesfully been launched and organized by Hyphen Projects are, amongst others BCFjobs.nl, Innovation for Health and BDP Life Sciences.
