Project Manager

Job description  

Ziphius is a pharmaceutical company that focusses on the development of RNA-based vaccines and therapeutics. As a Project Manager, you will be working in a young and dynamic environment where collaboration and teamwork are encouraged.  

You will be responsible for: 

• Organizing project team meetings together with the project leader (PL) (planning, meeting facilitation, preparing meeting minutes).
• Translating the project strategy defined by PL into a MS Project plan and develop scenarios. Maintaining the plan together with the project team.
• Managing project risks together with the project team.
• Managing project budget based on the requirements.
• Supporting the preparation of governance meetings and provide dashboards for project reports.
• Ensuring high-performing cross-functional project team’s effectiveness.
• Guiding/assuring effective (timely, inclusive, clear, and bi-directional) communication between all project stakeholders.
• Ensuring the project plan aligns with available resources when applicable and report capacity issues with Departmental Heads. 
• Facilitating operational excellence in all business processes in support of Ziphius’ drug development projects and PMO’s process improvement projects and tool introductions through sharing best practices, creation and management of templates and business process documents.

Preferred qualifications 

• A PhD or master degree in biotechnology (e.g. biomedical sciences, biochemistry, pharmacy, or any other scientific degree) or equally by experience.
• At least 5 years of drug development experience in different disease areas.
• At least 3 years of project management experience in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech environment preferably cross-cultural and experience in driving multiple R&D projects within a matrix-based organization.
• A basic project management certification as PRINCE2.
• Planning experience with MS Project.
• Strong leadership skills ensuring that Ziphius’ values are embedded in team dynamics.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mediate the prevention and management of conflict.
• Able to deal with continuous change.
• Genuine interest and some experience in people management.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Experience in RNA-based drug development is an advantage.
• Strong administrative skills, and the ability to generate clear, concise reports. 
• Clear communication skills. 
• Fluent in English, both written and verbally.
