About Hippo Dx

Hippo Dx, a MedTech company, was born in 2020 out of the need for automation, standardization, and digitization in skin prick allergy testing. Today, 30% of the world's population suffers from allergies, but 45% face initial misdiagnosis. Co-founded by dr. Senne Gorris, an ear-nose-throat surgeon, the limitations of manual testing prompted him to envision an innovative solution. Joined by Wim Hofkens, a Mechatronics Engineer, and Peter De Roovere, a Software Engineer, they developed S.P.A.T. (Skin Prick Automated Test), a state-of-the-art medical device for allergy testing and diagnosis. Developed by physicians and designed for patients, S.P.A.T. offers faster, more accurate and efficient allergy testing in a cost-efficient way.
