Rejuvenate Biomed is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in Diepenbeek, Belgium. Our mission is to discover and develop therapeutics to delay the onset or progression of age-related diseases. We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior AI Scientist for a full-time, permanent position. 

Profile  

We seek a Senior AI Scientist with a strong background in AI/ML research and significant expertise in developing advanced machine learning solutions for complex biological datasets. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing AI/ML strategies, a proven ability to solve complex challenges in computational biology, and a collaborative mindset. Responsibilities 

• Lead cutting-edge AI/ML R&D projects for the analysis of high-throughput biological data and knowledge graphs to advance the understanding and treatment of age-related diseases. 
• Drive the design and implementation of innovative graph machine learning and RAG solutions to support drug discovery and development efforts.  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing expert guidance on AI/ML methodologies and their integration into the broader research framework.  
• Mentor and support team members in developing and using AI/ML models and tools.  
• Oversee the validation and testing of AI/ML models to ensure robustness, accuracy, and reproducibility.  
• Contribute to publications and presentations showcasing impactful AI-driven discoveries. 
   

Qualifications  

• A PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field with a strong focus on AI/ML model development.  
• Extensive research experience in AI/ML, with a track record of high-impact publications or patents in machine learning. 
• Deep expertise in AI/ML principles, statistical methods, and their application to large-scale biological datasets.  
• Proficiency in Python and R. Familiarity with SAS is beneficial.  
• Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX.  
• Expertise in database management systems, including graph databases.  
• Proven experience with ETL pipelines for biological data and knowledge graph construction.  
• Advanced knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).  
• Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), with certifications being advantageous.  
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and version control systems like Git.
